Differences between statements and reports

Bond prices in reports may be slightly different than the prices shown on the statement sent by the custodian. These discrepancies may occur because our reporting system can only show one price per security and different custodians may report different prices for the same security.

Price differences between custodians rarely happen for frequently traded securities like blue-chip stocks, but it is quite common for less regularly traded securities like individual bonds. To estimate the price of less frequently traded securities, custodians will typically rely on pricing services or internal calculations. The differences in pricing services and internal calculation amongst the custodians are the source of the reporting discrepancy you may see. The price differential will not affect cash flows from coupon payment or the proceeds at maturity.
